Ranging from the straight up roots/rock of "All Right Now" and "Jupiter Blues", the mash up of folk/country and electronica on "Just Like Home", "Grassy Seas of Ganymede" and "Galactic North", to the cosmic swamp ballads "Stay With Me" and "Only Time", the album was produced by Nathan, and mixed by Matt Hyde, whose previous credits include Regina Spektor, No Doubt and Slayer. Thematically, the album tells the story of a young traveler leaving his isolated place in the universe, yearning for a look at the big bright lights at the centre of the galaxy. Blending "Japanime" themes with Americana instrumentation and songwriting, electronic beats with rusty Gibson acoustic guitars, the result is "See Ya Later, Space Cowboy", an album written on the global neon highway, and recorded in Los Angeles. After successfully touring America three times in the last year, culminating in playing to a full house at the Highline Ballroom in New York City, and then a short stint in Japan, Nathan Gaunt finished work on an album that would marry the two musical cultures he had been immersed in.
